This model was one which I decided to build as one of the early aircraft of the first world war. Although the Sopwith Dove never was used as a warplane it was the forerunner of the famous Sopwith Camel and the Sopwith Pup both of which fought in the first world war. It is my first attempt at building a bi-plane and I designed it to be a three channel radio control model, the channels controlling rudder, elevators and ailerons, and the model to be powered by a 1cc Fox diesel engine or model aero engine of similar size.
